The memorial gathering to remember Allen A. Boumont, 84, Valley City, ND, will be held at the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home on Thursday, April, 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM. This will be a joint service with his wife Darlene being remembered also. She passed away in Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Military honors will be held outside the chapel following the service.

Allen A. Boumont, 84, passed away on January 2, 2019 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City, ND. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Wahpeton, ND.
Allen Archie Boumont, the son of Achille and Hilda (Carlson) Boumont, was born in Wahpeton, ND on September 30, 1934. He attended Wahpeton State School of Science and moved to Valley City, ND in 1955 and was employed as a printer and linotype operator for Brown Lithograph/Sheyenne Publishing. In 1957, Allen was drafted into the US Army and served for 35 years in the ND Army National Guard, retiring in 1992 as Master Sergeant. He was a past member of the Valley City Country Club, Elks, VFW, Eagles, Past Worshipful Master of the Valley City Masonic Lodge, member of the Shriners, member and president of the Valley City Jaycees and also member and Senator of the Junior Chamber International.
Allen is survived by his wife of 29 years Darlene, Valley City, ND; daughter JoLynn (Rick) Brandenburger, Hankinson, ND; step-son, Rodney Hellickson, Valley City, ND; three grandsons, Jake Brandenburger, Nick Brandenburger and Logan Boumont; two granddaughters, Amber Watson and Jamie Boumont; four great-grandchildren, Michael Boumont and Brayden Brandenburger, Olivia and Sawyer Watson; sister-in-law, Karen Boumont, Zimmer, AZ; three brothers-in-law, Jerald (Doris) Knudson, Walla Walla, WA, Kenneth (Judy) Knudson, Wahpeton, ND and Dale (Danette) Knudson, Valley City, ND; special neighbor, Keith Baumgartner and his grandson Adam Compson.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, his son Kevin, two brothers, Denny and Ernest and one sister, Doris Strand and his mother-in-law Mary Knudson.
