BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public) – A late season snowstorm could affect parts of southern North Dakota beginning Tuesday.
National Weather Service forecaster Janine Vining says the storm will form in eastern Colorado and Wyoming – and will intensify Tuesday into Thursday. Vining says it will start as rain in southern North Dakota.
Vining says the worst of the snow will be along the North Dakota-South Dakota border.
Vining says it will be a wet, heavy-type snow – that shouldn’t blow around very much. She says if you have travel plans for the Rockies, South Dakota or southern Minnesota this week, be sure you check the forecasts and delay travel if necessary.
