JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Street Crews were welcomed Tuesday morning to a large donated breakfast to thank them for their work over the winter.
The Jamestown Downtown Association, Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce, Great Plains Housing Authority, the Depot, and some individuals all came together to make the breakfast possible.
“We just wanted to thank you guys for what you had to deal with all winter long,” JDA President Lynn Lambrecht told the city crew. “Your service is appreciated and we just wanted to thank you.”
The city of Jamestown reports that snow removal for the past winter cost the city around $620,000. That includes purchase of salt and sand, equipment repairs, contractors, and more.
