BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department is starting to receive sightings of snow geese throughout the state.
Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier reports that last week, a report came in of a snow goose sighting around Pheasant Lake. While this means snow geese are on the way, residents need to remember that the snow geese will go where the snow isn’t.
Leier says snow geese will be pushed more to the west as snow continues to melt. He also reports that the numbers have come back on the 2018 pronghorn season.
Leier is also reminding resident to keep their eyes open for winter kill while they’re out.
