FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- This past Saturday, March 23, the Valley City High School Hi-Liner Speech Team traveled to the Davies High School Speech Invitational. The Hi-Liners had a successful day as they near the end of regular season competition.

Two new events qualified for the State Class A Speech Tournament, April 13 held at Jamestown High School. Olivia Slyter qualified in Prose, and Olivia Slyter and Lillian Kiefert  in Serious Duo. Many kids qualified events they had already previously qualified.  VCHS placed 2nd with 143 sweepstakes points, just behind Dickinson who took 1st with 148 points. Fargo Shanely placed 3rd with 73 points. Individual results are as follows.
