VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City High School senior Taryn Dieterle can add one more accolade to her Hi-Liner basketball career. The senior was named 2nd team all state for Class A girls basketball.
Dieterle led the way for Valley City with 19.1 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, which were also amongst tops in The EDC. She also had 4.9 assist. On February 23rd she scored her 1,000th career point in a game against Fargo South.
The 2 time All EDC selection finished her career with 1,152 point which is 5th all time. Dieterle is 3rd all time in rebounds with 763 and field goals made with 363, 4th in steals with 139 and 1st in free throws made with 384.
Class A champion Bismarck Century had teammates Lilly Keplin and Lauren Ware receive 1st team selections for the 2nd straight year. Mandan also had 2 first team players with Kennedy Harris and Megan Zander. Maggie Mason from West Fargo Sheyenne and Shanley’s Reile Payne round out the first team.
Devils Lake’s Jes Mertens and Mattea Vetsch garnered 2nd team all state selections along with Jalen Helstad of Williston and Gabby Jung of Dickinson.
