JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Salvation Army Thrift Store was closed Thursday, so no injuries occurred when the canopy above collapsed due to snow and wind.
The canopy along the building, which is leased out by the Jamestown Salvation Army, completely collapsed.
“The Police Department called and said it was the canopy,” Major Tim Nauta reports. “The store was closed today luckily. We have been snowed in, as has the landlord, so we are not able to look at it now.”
No damage reports are available. More information will become available later.
The city of Jamestown received more than 10 inches of snow in less than 24 hours, causing poor road conditions and no travel advisories.
