FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Senator John Hoeven today announced that the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison are scheduled to visit the White House and U.S. Capitol on March 4.
The team will be honored by the President at the White House that morning. Following the Bison’s visit to the White House, the team will head to Capitol Hill, where the senator will host a luncheon for the team, followed by a tour of the U.S. Capitol.
“Not only are the Bison the reigning FCS national champions, but they have won seven of the last eight championship games,” said Hoeven. “This is a stellar team and an exceptional program, and we look forward to honoring the Bison with the President at the White House, and to host the team for a luncheon and tour of the U.S. Capitol.”
Following the Bison’s championship win earlier this year, Hoeven and the President discussed the team’s impressive record over the past eight years, and honoring the team at the White House.
On February 8, Hoeven announced that the President had invited the Bison football team to the White House.
