JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A week after being named to the All-West Region team, Jamestown Blue Jay Jace Thompson can now add All-Stater to his resume.
The sophomore forward was named as part of the All-State team following the State tournament in Fargo on Saturday.
Thompson led Jamestown in goals (19) and points (39) this season. Twice this season, Thompson scored goals in overtime to win games for the Jays. Both were against Dickinson. On January 5th in Dickinson he scored 29 seconds into the overtime. Then 10 days later he did it again, this time with 12 seconds left in extra session.
This season, Thompson was paired with Tommy Falk and Corey Nelson to form one of the top scoring lines in the state. Jamestown head coach Matt Stockert says they found out early that was a good line.
 

At the West Region Tournament, Thompson had eight points in the three games with six goals and two assists.
Thompson finished tied for 14th in the state in scoring. He is the only sophomore on the All-State list.
Coach Stockert says Thompson shows what hard work can do.
 

 
In two seasons, Thompson has scored 27 goals and added 31 assists for 58 points in 48 games.
