JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A transmission pole struck by a vehicle Saturday caused widespread outages in and around Jamestown.
The outage began at around 10:30 AM, affecting numerous homes and businesses including Walmart, i3G Media, Stutsman Harley Davidson, and more. Otter Tail Power Company reports that a transmission pole, which is connected to an REA line as part of Central Power Electric Cooperative, was struck 10 miles North of Jamestown.
Power was restored nearly an hour later to around 1,500 customers in Southwest Jamestown.
