JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – PATH ND, a private non-profit child and family service agency, is currently seeking foster parents to care for the over 80 children in need of a home.
Recruitment & Licensing Specialist Carissa Cox says their foster care work focuses on kids who may require more care than other children.
Cox says PATH ND is a separate entity from County Social Services. She says they require foster parents to have a license through them to provide foster care.
Cox says they will be holding a foster parent inquiry meeting in Jamestown to better provide information to potential foster parents and what they can do to provide for kids in need.
Recruitment & Licensing Specialist Jenn Helm says the meeting is a good chance for anyone to learn more about being a foster parent.
Helm says there is no obligation to become a foster parent by attending the meeting. She says it’s purely to gain more information and to pass it on to others who may be interested in one day entering into foster care.
The informational meeting is set for February 28th from 6 PM to 7PM at Babb’s Coffee House. If you’re unable to attend the meeting, you can find more information by visiting the PATH offices in Jamestown or by visiting their website.
