JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several Jamestown City Fire Units and Jamestown Police Officers responded to an apartment fire Wednesday evening.
The call came in to a fire at 607 4th Avenue Northwest. Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther says the fire started at around 7:30 PM. When crews arrived on scene, the house was engulfed. Reuther pointed out that an explosion may have been the cause of the fire at the house near Washington Elementary.
No one was home at the time.
Crews were on scene until around 1:15 AM fighting the fire and clearing the scene in subzero temperatures. More details will come as they become available.
