BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department has set the Spring Turkey season for April 13th through May 19th.
Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier reports that while the season may seem far away, this is the time to start getting things together and applying for the lottery.
Leier says 22 units have more license, 7 have fewer, and the rest are about the same.
6,025 wild turkey licenses are available. Hettinger and Adams counties are closed to the season again due to the lack of turkeys in Unit 21. You can visit gf.nd.gov
Leier says for anglers and their ice houses, be sure not to leave valuables inside unattended, locked ice houses.
You can listen to Doug Leier every Thursday at 7:20 AM with JD in the Morning on Big Dog 95.5 FM.
