JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Sunday storm caused poor road conditions and brought with it life-threatening wind chills.

The Bismarck National Weather Service reports that a wind chill warning has been issued for a majority of North Dakota beginning early Tuesday morning and continuing through Thursday. Meteorologist Zach Hargrove says temperatures will begin to dip Monday night.

Hargrove says factoring in the wind, temperatures will drop even more beginning tonight.

Hargrove says individuals can experience frostbite within as little as 10 minutes. He says if you don’t need to be outside for a prolonged period of time, avoid going outside. He says looking into later in the week, the state will see some sort of a warm up.
