JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Blue Jays hosted the Braves of Turtle Mountain on Saturday night at Jerry Meyer arena for a girls and boys Class A basketball double header, here are the results:
GIRLS – Jamestown 65 Turtle Mountain 49
The Jays had the lead 35-22 at halftime and kept the lead the rest of the game, improving to 8-5 in the conference. Jamestown had four players score in double figures, leading the way was Eighth grader Ella Falk with 15 points off the bench, Sophomore Grace Hegerle added 13, Senior Courtney Peterson 12 and Jessa Anderson 11 points. Senior and three year starter Falynn Ferris led TM with 20 points, including four 3-pointers.
BOYS – Jamestown 89 Turtle Mountain 59
The Braves jumped out to an early 6-2 lead, but Jamestown came back to take the lead 7-6 early in the first half and never looked back. Senior Mason Walters had a game high 24 points for the Blue Jays, Boden Skunberg added 23 and Jared Kallenbach had 13. Wyatt Enno led the Braves with 20 points. No. 1 Jamestown improves to 13-0 in the conference.
Next up for Jamestown will be Bismarck High on Tuesday, January 29th in Jamestown.
