JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For years, the Jamestown Optimist Club has supported area youth through many various ways.

Longtime Optimist Club Member Ken Astrup says their goal is to do things for the youth such as the Safety Village and distribution of bike helmets.

Astrup says in order to support these programs and needs, the Optimist Club continues to hold fundraisers and more to bring attention to their cause and support the area kids. He pointed out that one of their big ones is the spaghetti fundraiser, which is held annually.

The fundraiser is set for February 1st from 5 PM to 7 PM. Astrup shared that they will have plenty of food to serve up at the upcoming feed.

Tickets are $8 per adult, $5 for students and free for kids five years and younger. They can be purchased from any Optimist Club member or at the door of the event at the Jamestown Civic Center.
