JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For 56 years, the Ave Maria Village kitchen has gone untouched and has serviced hundreds over the years.

Now, Ave Maria Village is looking to renovate and bring the space into the 21st Century. Staff at Ave Maria have been raising money for their capital campaign which has bought all residents personal phones and numbers and remodeled both bathing suites.

Development Director Annie Hancock took over the position and capital campaign after Jan Barnes announced her retirement last year.

Hancock says once they’re done with the kitchen remodel, they’ll shift focus to the private room campaign. To do this, numerous volunteers and staff have been raising money to finish up the remodel. Hancock pointed out that they have a planned fundraiser February 6th to help bring them closer to their goal.

The fundraiser runs from 10 AM to 2 PM and will feature different soups to sample and take home for lunch or supper. Hancock says there will be to go containers and people can call ahead of time to have their soup put together so they can pick it up and be on their way.

You can contact Ave Maria Village if you have any questions at 701-952-5677.
