VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A presentation on the second phase of the Hanna Field Athletic Complex was held January 23 in the Hi Liner Activity Center.

Valley City School Superintendent Josh Johnson announced that thanks to the efforts of Amy McBeth a Hi Liner graduate who works for BNSF, the company donated $75,000 for the second phase.

Johnson is encouraging the community to contact members of the Restoring the Legacy fundraising committee or school board members to get your feedback on the direction of the proposed Phase II project.

The estimated cost of Phase II was lowered from $2.85 million to $1.75 million due to cost saving measures gathered from new estimates obtained by the school district.

Johnson said 100 percent of the funds will have to come from donations, sponsorships and fundraising efforts.

The presentation is now archived on NewsDakota.com. Johnson said due to incoming inclement weather tonight’s 7pm meeting was cancelled.
