BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A mild winter finally turned into the cold and snow that most were expecting for 2018.
The Bismarck National Weather Service reports that as of 9AM this morning, some of the year’s lowest wind chills have been reported in most of western and central North Dakota.
The lowest wind chills were reported in Rolla at -46 degrees. Followed by Medina and Carrington at -38 degrees, Jamestown at -35 degrees and Oakes at -28 degrees.
This, coupled by the falling and blowing snow, has created some dangerous conditions and near zero visibility in some parts of the state. The weather service says this is expected to gradually end later this morning.
