VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Sam Beierle and Avery Bennefeld both eclipsed 20 points but unfortunately Fargo North came away victorious 87-79 to extend Valley City’s losing streak to 4.

The Hi-Liners trailed 46-44 at half time and pulled in the front midway through the second half. North was able to regain the lead and kept the game out of reach for Valley City.

Bennefeld scored 26 points; Beierle would collect 22. Peyton Zaun and John Beutler each had 9 points.

The Spartans’ Clayton Rickard went off for 43 points and 8 rebounds. Keaton Hoeg had 24 points.

After Friday night, North moves up to 3-2 in the region. Valley City remains winless in the east at 0-5. Friday they will play Davies at home.
