LIDGERWOOD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Oakes boys basketball team played their best game of the young season beating Wyndmere/Lidgerwood 62-34.

The Oakes offense posted a season high 62 points while the defense held the Warbirds to a season low 34. Oakes’ defense was stifling as they held Wyndmere/Lidgerwood to single digits in three of the four quarters.

Drew Dethlefsen posted 10 points in the first half and finished with 18 points on an effective night from the field.

In just his second game back, and his first start,  Steele Hansen tallied 16 points.

Oakes is off until January 4th when the Tornadoes will take on Barnes County North.
