VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The agricultural teacher at the Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center resigned after allegations surfaced regarding a violation of school district policy. The incident involved an alcohol violation that occurred off school property.
The Barnes County State’s Attorney’s office charged Heidi Angela Barnick with four misdemeanors. Three are Delivery to certain persons unlawful and one charge is Contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Her first court appearance is set for January 2 in the Barnes County Courthouse.
Meanwhile, the Career Technology Center Director Jeff Bopp said the board approved hiring Anna Gafkjen to be the new agriculture instructor at the Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center. She starts teaching on January 2.
