JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Salvation Army is in the final days of their Christmas season fundraising and are seeing a lack of donations compared to last year at this time.
The goal for 2018 was set at $168,000, around $10,000 higher than the year before. Major Tim Nauta says last year, they were able to surpass their goal which led them to increase the goal this year. Nauta says they have until December 24th to collect donations at the red kettles.
Major Nauta says so far, they’ve raised $85,000 in the campaign.
Nauta says individuals can donate at one of the six kettles in Jamestown or online. All donations will stay local and help the Jamestown Salvation Army with their mission of helping people.
You can register to ring the bell during this final week at registertoring.org or by calling 701-252-0290.
