WISHEK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Wishek Hospital and Clinics were in lockdown for around two hours Thursday afternoon after a bomb threat.

The hospital provided an update through Facebook warning that they were closed due to a bomb threat at around 1:15 PM.

“Please if there is any emergency, go to Ashley or Linton Hospitals,” the post stated. “Ambulance services are still available. Call 911 for all emergencies.”

As of 3:26 PM, the lockdown was lifted. It’s believed that these threats appear to be part of a nationwide email/phishing scam threatening businesses all across the U.S. Tioga Medical Center and Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center in Elgin posted to their Facebook page reporting a bomb threat today as well.

Wishek is located in McIntosh County.
