CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)  Senior McKenzie Johnson scored a game high 17 points including five treys to help the Cardinals get their fourth victory in a row on Tuesday night, 68-42 over the Rockets of New Rockford/Sheyenne. The Cardinals improve to 4-1 and NR-S drops to 2-4.

The Cardinals jumped out early and never looked back leading 32-17 at halftime. Sophomore Hannah Hagel added 14 points and Junior Kiera Eli added 10 off the bench. For the Rockets, Junior Hannah Haley dropped in 13 and Senior Carli Lies added 10. There was a total of 14 treys made in the game, nine by Carrington and five by NR-S.

Next up for Carrington will be on Thursday night against fellow District 5 team, Midkota, pregame will start about 7pm, tip-off at 730pm on the Cardinal AM 1600 and FM 100.1 and newsdakota.com, NR-S will be in McVille next week Tuesday against Dakota Prairie.
