JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County’s newest commissioners took part in their first meeting Tuesday evening.

Ramone Gumke and Steve Cichos joined in the first meeting following the November General Elections. Gumke originally served as a Jamestown city councilmember for 8 years. He received more votes than Mark McPherson and incumbent Craig Neys for the seat.

Cichos filed for a seat earlier this year after he retired from 42 years of banking. He has previously served on the commission in prior years. He received the same amount of votes as Dennis Ova, who was an incumbent in the election.

Dale Marks did not seek re-election this year.
