VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Three Barnes County Commissioners and the new State’s Attorney were sworn into their respective offices just before a regular commission meeting on December 4th.

Barnes County Commissioner’s Shawn Olauson, Vicki Lovell and Bill Carlblom along with incoming State’s Attorney Tonya Duffy were all sworn into office by Southeast District Court Judge Mark Blumer.

Olauson and Lovell begin a four year term after Mike Metcalf and Rodger Berntson decided to to seek re-election.

Duffy will begin her four year term after outgoing State’s Attorney Carl Martineck decided not to pursue another term.
