HUNTER, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Ellie Holen made three of four free throws in the final 45 seconds to seal win as LaMoure-Litchville/Marion opened the season with a 42-39 win over Northern Cass.

Holen had made just 1 of 5 free throws before the final quarter. As a team, the Loboes were 4 for 13 from the charity stripe heading into the fourth quarter. But Holen, Olivia Bliss, Allie Hebl and Rachel Hoff combined to hit 8 of 11 in the final 2:18.

Holen led the Loboes with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Kaylynn Siedschlag and Bliss each had seven points.

Halle Crocket led the Jaguars with 16 points and six rebounds. Morgan Nelson and Sydney Anderson had eight rebounds a piece.

Northern Cass, now 0-2 on the season, play at Kindred next Friday night.
