JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is currently investigating a Hit and Run accident that took place Thursday afternoon.

Sgt. Shane Gallagher reports that 2:30 PM, a pedestrian walking eastbound at the intersection of 3rd Street NW and 3rd Avenue NW and was struck by a vehicle that was traveling Northbound. The driver of the vehicle then left the scene.

The suspect is being described as a caucasian male around 40 years of age with a possible beard and hair that is approximately shoulder length. The vehicle he was driving is described as a silver four door sedan type of vehicle.

“A concerned citizen picked up the victim and transported them for medical attention,” Sgt. Gallagher stated. “Anyone with any information regarding the case is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Department.”
