JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A winter weather advisory issued by the Bismarck National Weather Service includes the potential for snow and ice beginning Tuesday night.

With a warm front lifting through the area, there will be a good chance for snow in the James River Valley Tuesday night.

Meteorologist Jeff Shild with the Weather Service says the advisory will remain through tomorrow afternoon. He says the conditions the system may create will make travel hazardous throughout the region.

Schild says another system is expected this weekend with rain to start in the Western part of the state with a chance for snow spreading through the area. He says residents need to make sure they’re safe and informed before venturing out.
