JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Historic 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse is getting into the holiday season this winter with an open house planned December 9th and 16th.

Courthouse Site Supervisor Steve Reidburn says several organizations including Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown Tourism, National Buffalo Museum, Country Gardens Floral, and more will decorate a tree in each room of the courthouse.

Reidburn says each tree will have a sign signifying which tree was decorated by which organization. Spectators will then be welcomed in to vote on their favorites.

The courthouse opens from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM both December 9th and December 16th. In other courthouse news, Reidburn says while they’re closed during the winter, they’ll look to finish up some construction.
