JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 28th annual Concordia Lutheran Church Thanksgiving Meal served even more this year on Thanksgiving.
The meal served those who didn’t want to travel, didn’t have any family, or didn’t want to cook during the holiday. Volunteer Betty Mahlke says volunteers prepared the meal the day before at the University of Jamestown and prepared enough food to serve over 700 people.
This year, 688 people were served from 11 AM to 1 PM. This includes 373 meals delivered or picked up and another 315 served at the church.
In 2017, 677 meals were served.
