JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With winter rolling in, the Stutsman County Park employees have begun winterizing and focusing on improvements.

During the Tuesday Stutsman County Park Board meeting, Superintendent Karl Bergh stated they had set their sights on improving and maintaining the Marina Campground.

Bergh says they are hoping to back people off the road further to have more people park inside the campground and alleviate congestion in that area come summer time.

Bergh says they are sanding down the 16 fiberglass picnic tables to update them and repaint them for next year. He says they’ve also got most of the winterizing done for the year.

Bergh also reports that there will be an opening in the County Park Department after a recent resignation. The board unanimously approved to being advertising for the soon-to-be vacated position.
