VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A rural Barnes County woman has set up a $100,000 foundation for the Barnes County Salvation Army.

Salvation Army spokesman Lee Isensee said it’s an incredible gift that will last a life time for the local chapter serving Barnes County.

The Red Kettle Campaign begins Friday, November 23rd in Valley City. Bell ringers are need at Leevers north and south and at Shopko in Valley City. Joe Lunde has retired from being a bell ringer coordinator after six years of service and Tim Kadrmas has stepped in to become the bell ringer coordinator in 2018.

Anyone interested in being a bell ringer should call Tim Kadrmas at 490-1044. Those who have been bell ringers in the past will be called by Time to schedule your times.
