WILLISTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High volleyball team played in the opening round of the West Region Tournament and fell in straight sets to Bismarck, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21. 25-20).
Jamestown struggled offensively and from the service line. In the third set, Jamestown finally got some momentum and took a six-point lead. The Demons didn’t quit and rallied back to close the match to 20-18 before scoring the final seven points.
Courtney Peterson lead the Jays with 11 kills.

Bismarck moves on to play Century at 5pm in the first semifinal. Mandan and Legacy meet in the final match of day two.
Minot and St. Mary’s are in the 3pm match, which is a loser-out game.
