VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp visited with citizens and business owners in Valley City and Wimbledon on October 29th.

Heitkamp said told reporter Steve Urness that healthcare and the farm economy are two big issues of concern for residents heading into the November 6th election.

She also said the new N.D. Voter I.D. laws are confusing to some people especially students and Native Americans.

Heitkamp plans to tour the state Thursday, November 1st following a rally in Fargo with former Vice President Joe Biden. The bus tour will make several stops across the state including one in Valley City.

Heitkamp is in a hotly contested race with U.S. Congressman Kevin Cramer. The U.S Senate Seat in North Dakota is considered a pivotal one for party control.
