JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Law enforcement across the state will have extra patrols from November 1 through December 13 for the Click It or Ticket campaign enforcing the state seat belt law. Seat belts save lives and continue to be the single most effective way to prevent injury and death in a motor vehicle crash.
In 2017, one unbelted vehicle occupant died every seven days in North Dakota.
“Protect yourself and those that love you,” says Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin. “Wear your seat belt no matter how far you are going. Your loved ones will thank you for it.”
This campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
