JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In the middle of their Capital Campaign, Ave Maria Village is looking to make a major purchase for their kitchen renovations before their leader retires.

Development Director Jan Barnes announced she would be retiring at the end of November amidst their ongoing campaign. She says since they started, they’ve made great strides in the first phase of the campaign.

With retirement almost a month away, Barnes says they’ve set up one last big fundraiser to get an upgrade for the kitchen.

Barnes says she’s disappointed they couldn’t finish the first phase, but says she has a lot of faith in her successor to continue the work.

A Feast & Frenzy has been set for today from 10 AM to 2 PM and will feature lunch for $7, a $5 quilt raffle, bake sale, silent auction, t-shirt sales and more. All proceeds go on to assist with the kitchen remodel.
