PINGREE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals beat the Thunder of Medina/Pingree/Buchanan 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-19) in Region 3 Class B High School volleyball Monday night, Carrington improves to 27-7 overall, MPB drops to 15-14 overall.

Bella Hone led Carrington with 17 kills out of the 41 total for the Cardinals, she also had four of the 10 aces and four of the 13 stuff blocks. McKenzie Johnson had 4 digs, Larissa Larson added three and Marah Schmitz had three. Addison Hoornaert had 31 assists.

Next up for Carrington will be the District 5 tourney in Ellendale on Thursday, Friday and Monday, October 25th, 26th & 29th. They are the number one seed and will have a first round bye and will play Friday night at 5:45pm against the winner of Edgeley/KM and Midkota who play on Thursday. The entire D5 tourney can be heard on Thunder Country 98.3 and newsdakota.com. MPB will host Lamoure/LM Tuesday night in Medina for their last regular season match of the year.
