JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown teen was injured after striking the passenger side of a car Wednesday evening near the Middle School.

Jamestown Police Major Justin Blinsky reports that just after 5 PM, a vehicle driven by a 26 year-old female was stopped at the intersection of 2nd Avenue SE and 3rd Avenue Street SE and was attempting to turn right.

Major Blinsky says instead of trying to swerve behind the vehicle, the teen tried to go in front and struck the passenger side of the car. He says the teen was taken by ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Major Blinksy says the incident remains under investigation as they try to determine damage to the vehicle. He says bikes are not allowed on pedestrian sidewalks and that is also being taken into consideration.
