CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals swept the Mustangs of Midkota on Monday night 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-17) in Class B High School District 5 Volleyball. With the win, Carrington secures the number one seed at the District 5 volleyball tourney in Ellendale, running October 25, 26 & 29. The Cardinals will have a first round bye and play Friday night. The Cardinals are a perfect 6-0 in D5 and 25-7 overall, the Mustangs drop to 2-4 and 8-14 overall.

Next up for Carrington will be on Tuesday night in Napoleon against the Imperials of Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter. AM 1600, FM 100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the pregame starting about 6:15pm, 6:30pm first serve.
