VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Friday night will be the toughest test of the season for The Hi-Liners as they host unbeaten and No.1 Shanley.

Valley City is coming off a loss against Jamestown last week at Ernie Gates Field. Teams went play for play until Jamestown pulled ahead late in the second half.

Over the last 4 games a visible improvement has been seen on defense, coach Scott Roehrich feels being battle tested has changed their mind sets

 

Shanley edged No.2 St.Mary’s 14-7 last week at The Community Bowl to stay unbeaten. This season The Deacons are averaging 368.3 yards of offense per game with 157 of those coming in the air. Their receiving core runs deep and they do have several threats in the backfield, their depth stresses the importance of assignment football
