JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The city of Jamestown recently held two open houses regarding curbside recycling and garbage collection only moving forward.
Discussions at prior city and committee meetings found city crews having difficulty collecting recycling and garbage in some alleys in Jamestown. The open houses gave residents an opportunity to actively participate in the decision making process.
City Councilmember Steve Brubakken said they’re currently sifting through the date received and will compile the information for the October Public Works committee meeting.
Mayor Dwaine Heinrich says residents should have faith in city staff to find the best possible solution using the information gained from the open houses.
Jamestown Sanitation Foreman Roger Mayhew has been keeping the council and community informed about the difficulties of the alley pickup with the equipment.
