CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Community leaders, residents, instructors, and more were invited out to attend an open forum put on by the Governor’s Office and Department of Commerce in Carrington Tuesday.

The open forum was hosted by Holly Holt, Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives with the North Dakota Department of Commerce. KDAK’s Greg Grenz attended the open meeting, which had a variety of information to share.

Holt stated that the focus of each community varies. Topics included Carrington’s improvement goals for the the area as well as possible opportunities were touched on.

Holt says the community has a great opportunity with their downtown and recruiting youth to the city.
