BINFORD, N.D (NewsDakota.com)- The Oakes High volleyball maintained their series of sweeps against District 5 opponents this season with a three sets to none victory over Midkota Tuesday night.

The Tornadoes (19-2, 4-0 District 5) won by scores of 26-24, 25-9 and 25-16. Oakes picked up a total of 32 kills, with Nicole Schmitz leading with 13 and Marisa Garza earning six. Jaida Seyer had four aces in the victory, and Claire Wagner added another three.

The Mustangs (6-9, 1-3) had a team high eight kills from Mariah Topp.

Oakes next competes at the Langdon Invitational Tournament on Saturday, October 6.
