LAMOURE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After big wins over South Border and Strasburg-Zeeland in back-to-back weeks, LaMoure-Litchville/Marion dropped a 54-22 decision last week against Oakes, spoiling the Loboes homecoming.
The wee, L-L/M travels to Steele to face Kidder County. The Wolves are coming off a 26-14 loss to #5 Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter, which snapped their own two game winning streak.
It will be a tough test for the Loboes defense. Kidder County averages 243 yards per game on the ground. With the 1-2 punch of juniors Isaiah Harter and Parker Hager leading the way. Harter averages 100 yards per game and Hager 89. Loboes’ assistant coach Lucas Isaacson says they will have to be disciplined on defense.
As for the L-L/M offense, they have gone through some changes in the past couple of week. Senior Shay Ness has been moved to running back and sophomore Aiden Brown has moved to quarterback. Coach Isaacson says Brown has down well since taking over the offense.
Isaacson says Ness’s athleticism prompted the move and it has worked out.
Last week, Ness had two touchdowns, including a 71 yard run.
Gametime tonight is 7pm from Kidder County. You can hear the game on 98.3 Thunder Country and newsdakota.com beginning with the pregame at 6:40.
