OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Another District 5 contest and another sweep for the Oakes High School volleyball team on Thursday night, this time taking down Barnes County North in three sets.

The Tornadoes (17-2, 4-0) won by scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-10. Nicole Schmitz had a team high 14 kills, to go along with eight aces, and Jaida Seyer picked up another eight kills in the victory.

The Bison (4-11, 1-2) were lead by Clara Wieland’s three kills, while Bailey Soupir had another two.
