MADDOCK, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  Junior and middle hitter Bella Hone had a match high 12 kills to power the Cardinals of Carrington over Benson County 3-0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-8). Carrington is now 11-4 overall, the Wildcats drop to 7-20 overall.

The Cardinals set the tone early when Senior Larissa Larson served up three aces in a row to start set one and Carrington never looked backed. Larson ended with four aces in the match. Along with 12 kills for Hone, she had two aces and two stuff blocks, Senior Kadyn Mehring had four kills, and Senior McKenzie Johnson added one ace and five kills. For BC, Senior Marissa Lunde had a team high three kills.

Next up for Carrington will be the Laker Invite in Burlington and Minot.  Carrington will play Hazen at 6pm on Friday night and then South Border at 730pm at Burlington High School. On Saturday morning, Carrington will play Des Lacs/Burlington at 9am and then Center/Stanton. The tournament portion will commence early afternoon at Our Redeemers High School in Minot and Burlington High School.
