VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education selected Alan LaFave to be the next president of Valley City State University.

LaFave previously served as the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

LaFave will be sworn in as the 14th president of Valley City State University on Monday, December 17th.

He succeed Tisa Mason who accepted the position of president of Fort Hays State University in Kansas last year. Interim president Margaret Dahlberg will continue to serve as president until LaFave is sworn in.
