JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown met in special session Thursday to look a few items. Councilwoman Pam Phillips was not present.

The first item was to consider awarding the bid for the Inert Landfill Cell 1 – 4 final cover. Engineer Daryl Hornbuckle stated that the lowest bid came in at $249,350. He said he referenced several patrons of the business and found them to have provided satisfactory work. The item was unanimously approved.

Later discussion was held regarding the bid to purchase 33 near P-25 portable radios for the Jamestown Police Department.

The lowest bid came in from Jamestown Communications at $57,467.60. City Administrator Sarah Helleckson stated that the bid included the trade in of the previous radios used by the Police Department. The council unanimously approved the purchase.
